THE LEGO GROUP CULTURE
The LEGO Group is looking for smart and talented people that embrace our innovative spirit and enhance our fun and collaborative culture. You will have the opportunity to share your ideas and develop your career with one of the largest manufacturers and retailers of play material. Hear what Jørgen Vig Knudstorp, the LEGO Brand Group’s Chairman, says about understanding the LEGO Group Culture.
OUR HISTORY
The LEGO Group has been empowering imagination since 1932. The name 'LEGO' is an abbreviation of the two Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". The LEGO Group was founded by Ole Kirk Kristiansen and has passed from father to son - now owned by Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, a grandchild of the founder. The LEGO Group has come a long way over the past almost 80 years - from a small carpenter’s workshop to a modern, global enterprise that is now one of the world’s largest manufacturer of toys. We have sought to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow, by creating products based on an underlying philosophy of learning and development through play.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY
The LEGO Group has made a promise to the world: wherever we operate, we will have a positive impact. All children have the right to fun, creative and engaging play experiences. Play is essential because when children play, they learn. As a provider of play experiences, we must ensure that our behavior and actions are responsible for all children and towards our stakeholders, society, and the environment. We take pride in inspiring children to learn through play, where they develop vital skills. We want children, the builders of tomorrow, to inherit a healthy planet. We go beyond compliance to lead in the development of better standards for business conduct and ways of working.
OUR PEOPLE PROMISE
At the heart of the LEGO Group is our People Promise – ‘Succeed together’. We strive to inspire and develop children to think creatively, reason systematically and release their potential to shape their own future – experiencing the endless human possibility. Our culture is based on openness, trust and our core values: Creativity, Imagination, Fun, Learning, Quality and Care – which are reflected in everything we do. The role of the LEGO People Promise is to enable execution of the business strategy and build the long-term health of the company, It defines why people should choose and commit the best of themselves to the organization, clarifies the “give” and the “get of the employment relationship and provides a common point of reference for employee management.
ONLY THE BEST IS GOOD ENOUGH
The LEGO Group constantly strives to live up to our motto, “Only the best is good enough” and for that reason, our recruitment process is thorough and extensive. Our focus is to ensure we hire the right people who have the skills and desire that match the job criteria as well as competencies and values that fit into the LEGO culture. We will support your growth and give you the tools you need to be successful; in return, you will help us enrich the lives of children around the globe. If you are up to the challenge, we encourage you to apply for a role.
